Setting MFA for FCPS SSO using the Microsoft Authenticator App on smartphone

Your Phone with the Microsoft Authenticator installedYou can download the app from The Apple App Store, or The Google Play Store

A second Device either a tablet or a computer.(This device will be used to generate a QR code)
Once you have both of the required items, please follow the next steps:

On the Computer or Tablet open a browser and go to the website - mytime.fcps.edu
Once there log in with your FCPS username and password.

Once you log in please select the option “Authenticator App”

The system will display a QR code for you as well as a Setup Key

Open the Authenticator app on your smartphone

Tap the “Plus” sign in the upper right corner.

Select “Work or school account”

Tap on “Scan QR Code”

Your phone will switch to the camera or ask for permission to use the camera.
Position the camera over the QR Code. If the app Does NOT automatically capture, then tap on “enter code manually”.

After scanning the QR Code there will be an account in the Authenticator labeled FCPS SSO

Click “Next” on the computer and type in the code you see from the Authenticator app.

Congratulations! You have successfully set up the Microsoft Authenticator to work with MyTime!
